Lian Li O11 Air Mini Review

Reviewed – Lian Li’s O11 Air Mini

Lain Li has been working with Der8auer again, this time to create a high airflow version of their O11 Dynamic Mini. The design of this case is similar to its tempered glass-clad predecessor, offering PC builders many of the same features while delivering design tweaks that will please any airflow junkies amongst us.

This case will be available with both white and black colour options, offering users a compact monolithic appearance suitable for gamers and more use in more professional environments. The case is sleek, relatively affordable, and takes a more traditional approach to the world of dual-chambered case design.

Built with versatility in mind

One of the key features of the O11 Air Mini is its transformation feature, which allows the case to be altered from an ATX case with 7 PCIe slots to a MATX case that features 5 PCIe slots. This transformation adds more space to the top of the chassis for large liquid cooling radiators. This allows the O11 Air Mini to meet the needs of ATX and MATX motherboard users.

Even in 7 slot mode, we could fit a 240mm radiator in this case (with fans) when using low profile DRAM kits in 7 slot mode. That said, wider 280mm radiators wouldn’t fit in 7-slot mode, as it would interfere with DRAM and motherboard components.

Below are the full specification of Lian Li’s O11 Air Mini chassis. All models of this case ship with three fans, with two 140mm PWM fans at the front of the enclosure and a single 120mm fan in the rear. The case can support dual 120/140mm fans at the bottom of the case, and up to three 120mm fans and two 140mm fans at the top of the case.

Regarding liquid cooling, the levels of radiator support that this case offers varies depending on your chosen hardware configuration. We will discuss this further later in this review.
