BitFenix Shogun Review

BitFenix Shogun Review

Introduction

At 14.15KG, the new Shogun from BitFenix took some getting out of the box.  Now we’ve reviewed it we’ll have to decide whether it was worth the hernia.  Well, Bitfenix get off to a good start, as it was immediately clear to us that the the weight is, in the main down to the use of a Steel chassis combined with two large and thick tempered glass side panels.  BitFenix have reduced the weight a bit by using aluminium exterior panels, which is always a nice touch.  One thing that did bother us as we took our first view through the smoked class window was the vast bank of HDD dive cages piled up at the front of the case.  Seriously, Who needs six HDD cages?  Let’s just hope and pray that they’re removable and that the Shogun has a few tricks up its sleeve to keep us entertained.
