Cooler Master's MasterAir MA620M CPU cooler - A Mini Wraith Ripper?

Lighting and the Promise of AIO-like cooling performance

While All-in-One (AIO) liquid coolers are incredibly popular amongst PC enthusiasts today, it's hard to deny the charms of more traditional heatsink designs. 

With Closed-Loop Liquid Coolers (CLCs), PC builders are merely one pump failure away from an overheating system and potential hardware failure. One of the joys of air-cooled heatsinks is that they provide a little bit of passive performance in the event of fan-failure. Some professional users enjoy this extra peace of mind when building systems, though it must be said that CLC cooler failure is rare. 

The main perks of Cooler Master's MA620P is its slick design, lighting capabilities and its stealthy appearance. There is nothing in the heatsink market like it, aside from the AMD Wraith Ripper. Most buyers will be purchasing this cooler based on looks alone, and we can see why.   
  

  

As mentioned before, mounting this CPU cooler is a breeze. Install the CPU mounting lit onto your motherboard and install the heatsink. It's that simple. All you need is a Philips head screwdriver. 

  
CLC-level cooling performance? 

We haven't conducted formal testing on this product yet, but here's what Cooler Master has to say about the product's cooling performance. Yes. that's right, Cooler Master basically says that their MasterAir MA620M offers almost identical levels of cooling performance to their ML240L RGB liquid cooler. Not bad for an air cooler.  

The problem here is that pre-orders for the MasterAir MA620M are £89.99, while the MasterLiquid ML240L RGB retails for around £60.
