CoolerMaster MasterBox 5 Review
The Build
The instructions are basically on a fold out sheet of A4 paper, but are decent enough. Â Even the accessories don’t come in a box, instead being taped to the inside of the case in their bags. Â Is this a bad thing? Â No, not really. Â If CoolerMaster are trying to keep the price down, We don’t really want them inflating it by including an expensive to print glossy instruction booklet, or for that matter even a pretty little branded box to put all the screws in and then never see again. Â Nope, we like it like this.
Â
Cover Off! Â Cover On. Â We think it does a brilliant job, what more is there to say.
Â
Round the back there’s tons of scope for cable management, and if you want to keep things tidy round the front, you’re going to have to keep it sharp back here.
Â
With the motherboard in we can see just how much room we’re got to play with. Â This case though has got our modding juices flowing as we’ve the urge to make a panel with minimal cut outs to cover all the management holes. Â Another thing we like is the small gap between the bottom of the motherboard and the top of the PSU cover. Â Not only is there space here to run cables, but there are even conveniently placed cut outs to bring cables through from the rear. Â As you can see, you’re also not going to struggle with room for large GPUs, not with 410mm of space on tap you’re not!
