Noctua NV-FS1 Desk Fan and HOME lineup Review

A Closer Look at the Noctua HOME range

There’s more to the Noctua HOME range than the NV-FS1 desk fan

What’s worth remembering about Noctua HOME is that it is a range of product, not just a collection of fan sets. If you need airflow in your home, Noctua’s HOME series has been made to let you configure your own solutions.

Below is a list of all of Noctua’s HOME products at the time of writing. This includes their FS1 and FS2 fan sets, and their individual fan mounts, hubs, power supplies, gaskets, and more. This gives users the option to buy full solutions like their FS1 and FS2 fan sets. Beyond that, users also have the ability to create custom setups that can suit their needs more precisely.

Noctua HOME Product Range

Build your own Noctua HOME setup

For starters, we have the Noctua NV-AA1-12 airflow amplifier for 120mm fans. This solution is currently available for around £12, making it an affordable add-on for any setup where airflow amplification is necessary. If you want to build a custom version of Noctua’s NV-FS1 desk fan, you can simply buy this airflow amplifier for it.

Next up we have Noctua’s NV-FM1 pivoting multi-purpose fan mount. It can be configured to support either 120mm or 140mm fans, and includes wall plugs for well mounting. This mount can be mounted magnetically to anything its magnets attach to.

Noctua doesn’t currently have a 140mm airflow amplifier product, but you can bet that one is coming. Noctua are working on a new generation of 140mm fans, and we will likely see a 140mm airflow amplifier when they are released. That’s a nice bit of future-proofing from Noctua.

Fan Hubs Galore

Below we have Noctua’s powered and unpowered fan hubs, which can be used as part of 5V, 12V, and 24V setups. Just make sure that your are inputting the correct voltages for your attached fans. Note that you cannot mix and match 5V, 12V, and 24V fans with this controller.

Noctua’s powered fan set comes with a 12V power supply, the same PSU that comes with the company’s NV-FS1 and NV-FS2 fan sets. This makes Noctua’s controller ideal for standard 12V PC fans. If your custom setup needs a lot of fans, this solution if for you.

Other Accessories

Below we have Noctua’s multi-purpose fan pads and gaskets. They are usable with compatible Noctua fans, allowing Noctua HOME users to use their preferred Noctua fan. They even have brown and black options for these fans and gaskets to suit the aesthetic preferences of users.

These pads and gaskets are the same as those provided with Noctua’s NV-FS2 fan set and are fairly inexpensive.

Lastly, we have Noctua’s 24W AC/DC power supply for Noctua’s HOME product line. It has US, UK, and EU power connectors, and supports 115V and 230V AC power. This power supply outputs 12V power from wall outlets can directly power 12V PC fans using its provided PWM power adapter.
