AMD Ryzen 2nd Generation Threadripper 2950X and 2990WX Review

AIDA64

For our benchmarks today we have retested the original Threadripper 1950X to ensure that we have the very latest drivers and enhancements to give it the most accurate possible platform. We're also sticking with our usual system of highlighting the stock CPU in blue and the overclocks in green. In AIDA64 the memory tests are very close across the three Threadrippers. The new 2nd Generation might have better official memory support but the old setup happily ran at similar speeds. In the CPU benchmarks the new 2950X is close to its 1950X brother, whilst the 2990WX does what you would expect a 32 core CPU to do and dominates the graph. Better get used to these words as you'll be reading them a lot.
