Introduction

A little later than we planned, the full review is finally finished. We gave you our preview back in October and you can refresh your memory by taking a look at our ASUS ROG Strix X370-i Preview

Because of the time it has taken to bring this to you we wont waste a single more moment of your time, and the results of the Strix ITX are so good that we're a bit like a kid at Christmas anyway in our eagerness to share them, so let's crack on.

Overclocking

Despite being an ITX motherboard the days when that meant you had to make considerable performance concessions are far enough behind us that the ASUS Strix easily managed 4 GHz in our overclock test, which should, and indeed does, lead to some excellent results.

Thanks for this review, very thorough as usual! Been waiting quite some time to pull the trigger on a R5 1600 build and i think this is my perfect motherboard for it. The only thing stopping me from getting the Gigabyte board was the VRM temp issues you mentioned in your review and this board doesnt seem to have them.

Just wondering though, did you by any chance get your hands on the b350-i? Wanting to know if its really worth paying extra for the x370 when for all my needs, they offer the same things...Quote

I wondered that too, I was just settled in for a nice juicy TTL conclusion rant and BOOM end of video. I've still got biscuits and half a cuppa left!Quote
