ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII Hero Review

Gaming

The overclock gave us a nice FPS boost across all of our games. The CPU overclock did get both Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution over the magical 60 FPS average. We very rarely see any great leaps forward in 3D performance on motherboards because of the heavy GPU focus on modern games, so picking up an extra 2 or 3 frames is actually quite a lot.

Unigine gave us very similar boosts too. The Hero certainly gets the job done if you're in the mood for some 4K graphical loveliness.
