Maximus IX Formula
As we've just said, the Formula and Code are almost inseparable. However the Formula has got a few extra bells and whistles on it for those of you who demand a little more from your motherboard. The Formula has a full length backplate for a combination of strengthening and perhaps slightly better cooling. Speaking of cooling if you look closely at the power phases you can see that, unlike the Code, the Formula has a built in EK waterblock, allowing you to get the Maximus IX Formula plumbed into your loop with the minimum of fuss or extra purchases. Lastly the IO shield is hard mounted. We really like the looks of this as it finishes off the aesthetics and really brings the whole design together.

Really nice that they thought of this this time around

I like that they have now made the power and reset buttons in the top right corner RGB as well. As on the previous Formula board it was white, and didn't go well if you changed the entire board to one specific colour. Which was rather annoying for myself, as I like uniformity.
