Overclocking

It shouldn't be a surprise that a motherboard at this price point and with this level of dedication to providing gobs of performance to the most demanding power user that the ASUS Z270 WS pushed our Intel Core i7-7700K to 5.1GHz and kept it there comfortably throughout our testing. An excellent overclocking experience. It's amazing what you can do with quality components. With our early board and BIOS 4000mhz memory was also an easy achievement without dropping performance which is another big tick on our investigation list.

I was planning on using one 1080 TI with this motherboard. Since that PLX Chip helps to give better performance with two or more video cards, will my game performance decrease substantially compared to dual video cards? And if so, would it be in my best interest to find a different motherboard that doesn't have the add-on PLX Chip so my Game Performance isn't reduced with a single card.Quote
