No you haven't got double vision, that really is two LGA2011 sockets and eight (count em) DIMM slots. It's a bit of a squeeze but max kudos to the designer for fitting everything on and retaining a reasonable, if functional, amount of aesthetics.
There are seven fullsize PCIe slots, but the blue ones, the PCI Express 3.0s, are the ones that interest us. Nicely dual-spaced too should you decide that you really want to go beyond the infinite. As befits a workstation board there are more headers than a Stoke vs Sunderland match.
Being so tight for space the power connectors have been moved slightly, and of course we have two ATX 8pins to keep the Xeons supplied with all the juice they require.
From the rear you could be fooled into thinking this is a standard motherboard as everything of importance is internal.
Would sir like any extra storage capacity? 14 SATA ports (8 SATA 3Gbp/s and 6 SATA 3Gbp/s) mean even the most obsessive collector shouldn't run out of room in a hurry.
