Gigabyte AB350N Gaming Ryzen ITX Motherboard Review

No matter how often an ITX motherboard appears in the OC3D offices we're always a little surprised by how small it is. So often we get big flagship motherboards in with their giant packaging that we almost forget how compact an ITX motherboard is. With WiFi support the accessories are largely the regular selection of SATA cables an IO shield, along with the antennae for the the WiFi module.
The AB350N itself is an exercise on utilising every spare millimetre of available space. With four SATA ports, reinforced PCI Express slot, front panel USB, WiFi, and even an M.2 socket on the reverse, it ticks all the boxes for a compact but fully featured modern ITX motherboard. This tiny form has meant that the heatsink that covers the power phases is quite small, but we'll come to that on the next page. Our only other surprise is the use of red plastics for the DIMM slots and PCI Express socket, which is a deviation from the current ethos of monochrome motherboards with RGB lighting. The AB350N has got some RGB lighting on board, with a few LEDs underneath the RAM slots. Amazing Gigabyte found the room for anything on such a small footprint.
Around the back we have everything you'd expect to find. Plenty of USB ports, a HDMI and DisplayPort video out, LAN port, WiFi antenna connectors and a PS2 port for those of you still clinging to your ancient keyboards.
