Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Master Preview

Introduction

We're as impatient as you to get our hands on the 11th gen CPUs from Intel, but in the meantime all we can do is stare at the motherboards we have available and dream of what will soon be available. As such here is another of our previews of the Z590 motherboards which refine the Z490 formula and finally bring PCI Express 4.0 to the Intel platform.

The Gigabyte Aorus range has absolutely revitalised the brand. They would be the to admit that around the Z170 era they lost their way a little bit, but a wholesale shift in their focus and ethos has once again brought them back to the front of the pack. The combination of high quality components, excellent designs and a full suite of user friendly features are extremely attractive in whatever type of hardware to which that philosophy is applied.

Although there are models above the Aorus Master in their range we've always felt it offers the best combination of feature set and pricing for the enthusiast who wants something a little better than an average product would give you. Let's find out what the newest model, the Z590 Aorus Master, brings to the table.

Technical Specifications

We will be covering all of this in a moment when we take our trademark tour around the motherboard in close up detail. However, there is nothing like having all the important information available to you in a single image, and we know that many of you are too impatient to wait a few pages to discover what the Aorus Master brings to the party.

Fan Headers

Whilst many modern chassis come with fan extension boards it is always nice to know that you can utilise just the motherboard for all your cooling needs, if only because you can control them easier. The Master has 10 PWM fan headers to go along with the 8 temperature sensors. Even the most fan heavy system build is catered to by the newest addition to the Gigabyte Aorus range.

Was wondering in how the new Gigabyte Master Z590 will ultimately stack-up against the Asus Z590 VIII HERO? I am sure that both will command close to $500 each, as they are in the same enthusiast luxury league.Quote

Thanks for mentioning Thunderbolt3 headers this time

Lets hope Gigabyte didn't just put them on the engineering sample and then decide to take them of the production boards.

A very important deciding factor for some of us when purchasing....Quote
