Intel 13th Gen Core i5-13600K and Core i9-13900K Review
Up Close
Processors don’t make for the most interesting images around, and our media pack version bears little resemblance to the retail ones, beyond the actual box for the individual processors. However, we know how popular these images of rare packaging are so here goes.
Unquestionably the box is a monster, easy the size of most motherboard boxes that come through the office.
Lifting the lid gives you a lovely image of the die itself. We’d never pretend to understand it all, but we do appreciate the intense neatness and incredible care taking over the chip design. It maximises features in the ultimate minimal space.
Beneath those we have the two processors, but also a reversable display that has the diagram on one side and the core and clock counts on the other.
The 6P+8E Intel Core i5-13600K that will unquestionably be the big seller in the new Intel range.
The meaty 8P+16E Core i9-13600K which is the processor about which we all be lying awake at night dreaming of owning, despite our bank balance reality just offering up Pentium Duos.
Cool, eh.
