x265 Benchmark
We hadn't run the latest version of the encoding benchmark on the Broadwell-E CPUs, so it wasn't a big shock that the eight cores of the Ryzen processors easily topped our graph. Much like CineBench though the i7-7820X beats it out comfortably at stock and overclocked it is a scarcely believable 33% faster.

Only had a little time to read the last two paragraphs of the conclusion which precisely answered my question because I was eyeing the 7820X for a gaming rig. Muchos gracias for saving me valuable beer tokens; 6C/12T Coffee Lake-S it is then!
