Heatsink Covers

The major feature of the Carbon is the ability to switch out the heatsink covers to a design that best fits your system colour scheme. MSI supply the X299 Pro Gaming Carbon with three different variants. There is the black carbon effect one, probably the one that suits our own personal taste the most. If you like a little more shine with your PCB then there is also a set of silver inserts, perfect for both brightening the inside of your rig, reflecting the LEDs and also forming the basis of something you can respray into a colour of your own, should the neutral shades not float your boat. Lastly for those who demand all the bling there are gold inserts too. Normally gold colouring leans towards yellow or looking cheap and nasty, but we think the gold heatsinks here are fantastic, neither too yellow nor too gaudy. Kudos to MSI.
