Alongside the three fan headers we saw on the previous page there are plenty of headers tucked away beneath the lower PCI Express slot. USB front panel, audio front panel, LED strip headers for the Mystic Light, and even a power and reset switches have been included on the SLI Plus. If it does anything it demonstrates how little spare room there is on the PCB thanks to the eight DIMM slots of the X299 chipset.
The rear of the SLI Plus is a textbook example of a modern motherboard. CMOS Clear buttons, a bunch of USB ports in every flavour and even a combined PS2 port should you have an older input peripheral you're particularly fond of. Additionally there are two LAN connectors - no WiFi on the SLI Plus - and the jacks for the MSI Audio Boost 4.
So there is our preview of the MSI X299 SLI Plus. Keep an eye out for our full review coming soon and in the meantime let us know your thoughts on the OC3D Forums.
