Overclocking

Despite its modest price tag the Z170A SLI PLUS manages to overclock our i7-6700K to 4.8GHz. We were somewhat hampered with the memory only hitting 3200MHz even if we tuned the overclock to maximise the memory. By virtue of this large discrepancy between the overclocking we obtained on the MSI and the figures we’ve managed on everything else we are just going to run stock tests today. If for no other reason that the odds of you having the money for a 3800MHz DDR4 kit but only £100 in the budget for your motherboard are pretty slim.
