NZXT N7 B550 Motherboard Review

NZXT N7 B550 Motherboard Review

Introduction

Fairly recently we looked at the latest NZXT N7 motherboard that came in the form of the Intel Z490 chipset. Clearly NZXT have a philosophy in mind with their product range as the newest addition to their motherboard lineup is in the form of the AMD B550 chipset, but above that is the NZXT shielding and cooling system that leaves the two N7 motherboards almost entirely indistinguishable.

This makes it perfect for those of you who have been swayed by the design of the current range of NZXT products and want to demonstrate your brand loyalty by adding a motherboard to your system, particularly if you’re an AMD owner and looked enviously at the aforementioned Z490.

We understand the underlying motherboard is made by Asrock, a company which has quietly gone from the bargain basement brand they were about a decade ago to a low-key excellent choice that have an army of followers. So the main product is good, and we know from our time with the N7 Z490 that additions NZXT have made in the form of their armour and ability to work in harmony with their CAM-based ecosystem are good too. Let’s see how it fares in its AMD guise.

Technical Specifications

So new is the N7 B550 that we haven’t got any information at all beyond what is on the back of the box. Which leaves us in the rather curious position of having to show you that, so if you’ve ever wanted to test your eyesight this is as good a chance as any. To be fair nearly all B550 motherboards have the same set of specifications, and the NZXT doesn’t do anything unexpected with any of it, so you should already know what is on offer from the smaller of the two AMD chipsets.
