NZXT N7 Z790 White

NZXT N7 Z790 White

Introduction

White hardware is one area that can both delight and confuse. When the first batch of white products were released they often had a habit of turning yellow over time, until advances in technology allowed them to be white for the majority of their lifespan. Following that breakthrough more and more manufacturers added white hardware to their lineups, allowing you to have a fully bright white system, whilst also realistically claiming to your bank manager that your overdraft was caused by an emergency purchase of some ‘white goods’.

We’re now at a situation where every component in your rig can be white, including the chassis itself, which is perfect for those of you who prefer the lighter shade of system. Having finally saturated the market the point that everything can come in white, so the major companies have also decided that white motherboards are too much faff and have gone silver in the latest generation. Very frustrating for those of you who enjoy a holistic aesthetic.

Thankfully NZXT have been resolute in their adherence to their N7 design philosophy and it would take someone with a very keen eye to spot the difference between their Z590, Z690, and now here the Z790 motherboards. If you ever wanted to update your rig without requiring a full rebuild of every component you could stick in the new N7 Z790 and the overall aesthetic would be identical to before. That’s something with which we can get onboard. Let’s take a look.
