AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Roundup Review

Monster Hunter World

Capcom’s Monster Hunter World might be, compared to other titles in our test suite, getting a little long in the tooth but it’s still a gorgeous title with beautiful scenery punctuated by boss fights that wouldn’t look out of place in a From Software title. The introduction of the Iceborne expansion pack boosted the graphics a little further, and as always we’re running everything as high as we can push.

This is a meagre jump from the 5700XT. With that price increase, it's really nothing special. It's an improvement in performance-per-watt, which is impressive given it's the same process node, but that's about it. If I could choose between a 3060Ti or 3070 over a 6700XT, I'd choose the Nvidia card. They're just as efficient, have the same performance per dollar, have more consistent drivers, and most importantly offer far more software features. I get why AMD are charging so much for these, but they're not worth the money IMO. The 6700XT is a £350 GPU, maybe £375 because of the nice VRAM buffer, but that's it. Terrible RT, no DLSS, inferior streaming software.Quote

I wonder if these will have mysterious 'blackout' issues too. Not sure if those plague the 6800XT, but some of us with 6900XTs are having blackout problems, very strange stuff. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen to anyone buying the 6700/6800s, it's a maddening issue, wouldn't wish it on anyone!Quote
