AMD's DirectX 11 Boosting Driver Tested - Great news for classic PC games on Radeon
How well does this driver Benchmark? - 3DMARK Fire Strike Testing

Minor, but welcome, gains in 3DMARK
To kick off our AMD driver testing, we opened up 3DMARK and started using the tool's DirectX 11 based Fire Strike series of tests, which has 1080p (standard), 1440p (Extreme) and 4K (Ultra) versions. This benchmark was a standard part of every reviewers test suite when it launched, and today, it is highlighting moderate performance gains for our Radeon RX 6800 across all of its tests.
Yes, a hundred points here or there is not hugely significant, but it highlights that AMD has indeed made some performance gains with their new drivers, even for highly optimised benchmarking tools like 3DMARK. You can bet that AMD's drivers were already highly optimised for 3DMARK, so seeing performance gains here is encouraging.

That said, it makes us wonder if performance would chance with a processor like AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Intel's latest 12th generation CPU models. Would we see performance gains with AMD's new driver if we were less CPU limited? |
fps wise it's higher thou and the only odd thing is when you load into game the fps is low then rockets afterwards so it's doing something different.Quote
