Far Cry 5, the exception that proves the rule
Throughout our testing, Far Cry 5 was the only game that did not showcase universal performance gains with AMD's new May Preview driver. All of our results here are within a standard run-to-run variances.
If there are two things that Far Cry 5 loves, its faster single-threaded CPU performance, large L3 caches, and fast memory. AMD's May 2022 Preview driver has not changed these factors, so the game's performance remains limited. That said, it makes us wonder if performance would chance with a processor like AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Intel's latest 12th generation CPU models. Would we see performance gains with AMD's new driver if we were less CPU limited?

fps wise it's higher thou and the only odd thing is when you load into game the fps is low then rockets afterwards so it's doing something different.Quote
