ASUS GTX980 Matrix SLI Review
We still get giddier than a schoolgirl when we see two cards. There is just something about such a vulgar display of power that makes us smile.
The Matrix certainly looks the part too. The backplate is both sturdy and well ventilated, with a crisp screen printed logo. We're big fans of a giant heatpipe here at OC3D and the black ones on the Matrix have us drooling.
If you're the kind of overclocker who loves the smell of liquid nitrogen then you'll be pleased at the addition of a safe mode button on the Matrix, enabling you to push for the moon without fear of having to reflash every time you go a little too far.
Don't they make a lovely pair.
If you think they look good on the table, then you should see them in our GPU test system. Oh wait, you can. Here they are. A single GTX980 might be powerful enough for all but the most 4K-enabled, cashflow rich users, but the incredible appearance of a couple side by side is something that cannot be denied.
