ASUS MARS 2 SLI Madness

Batman Arkham City

There has been lots of muttering about the performance, or lack of, that Arkham City is capable of. With so much graphics power available this is the time to see what truth there is. And there seems to be quite a bit. Even a single MARS 2 can't hit the magical 60FPS mark and introducing 3D drops that down to 30FPS. Although it 'ran' on a triple-screen resolution it clearly didn't run well. Or playable. To be honest manually scrolling through frame-grabs in Photoshop would give a more playable experience. Sticking another MARS 2 in doesn't help matters as we only go from 53 to 58 frames per second. Hardly impressive.

Madness

Some massive results from SLI, nothing is coming close to them for a while anyway.

I really enjoyed watching the video review, Nice work on putting together such a great review, it's the sort of thing you don't see terribly often someone doing a review just cause they can. Keep up the great work! Quote

I've been looking forward to reading this review since you gave us a peek at the setup.

I'm kinda disappointed and impressed at the same time. You would expect mind blowing out the box... I guess no one expects someone to spend £2k + ON GRAPHICS ALONE!!!!

Thanks for the review Tom, I can't see anyone doing the same review for quite some time lol.Quote
