ASUS RTX 3080 Ti TUF Review

ASUS RTX 3080 Ti TUF Review

Introduction

Now that the initial furore regarding the pricing of the RTX 3080 Ti series of cards has somewhat died down it leaves us in a situation where there are still cards to review. We have to take a pragmatic, almost zen like approach in that the prices are what they are, and whilst they are things that might not fall within the budget of many people, they fall within the budget of some. Our job is to review cards and let the consumer decide what their own budget is, not to lay down the law about what you should spend.

Thankfully the ASUS TUF range has always been designed to bring all of the performance of whatever hardware is laying under the hood, just trimming back on the flash and flair one might expect to see from the ASUS Strix range. All of which means that the TUF is perfect if you want the hardware, but at the most affordable price point that can be delivered.

It would be possible to go even cheaper if you didn’t care at all about features or cooling, but the RTX 3080 Ti TUF we have here today blends the cooling, and thus GPU Boost, performance of a triple fan cooler bolted to a giant heatsink, but pares back the RGB flashiness to bring you a good take upon the latest addition to the Nvidia Ampere range at a relatively sane price.

Let’s take a look at it in the flesh before we delve in to the all-important performance benchmarks.
