Remember when graphics cards were forced to have knights or racecars or jet fighters on the packaging? We don't miss those days. Show us what the product looks like, and give us a clear identifier on what it actually is and we're happy.

One place that really separates ASUS from the pack with their revised Strix cooler is the addition of colours on the fan surround. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but we like it. Subtle enough that if you mount it vertically you can quietly show off the ROG Eye, and if you mount it in the normal orientation it isn't lighting up the top of your PSU.

This shot does give away a little bit of something we'll highlight at the bottom of this page. If you've kept a close eye on the new Strix cooler then it should be obvious. If it isn't, don't worry, just enjoy the blackness of the new RTX 4070 Ti.

The big change with the 4000 series ASUS Strix cards is the moving of the RGB to the end of the card. We like it. You can also see the two fan connectors that allow the GPU to request more cool air from your intake fans, if you so wish.

Thankfully the RTX 4070 Ti is much shorter than the other Ada Lovelace cards, but it's still handy to have a cutout that pushes hot air away from the card whilst also increasing the airflow towards your CPU cooler.

Whilst the RTX 4070 Ti Strix might look identical to the RTX 4080 and 4090 cards, as you can see below it's actually much smaller, with a smaller PCB, and the heatsinks aren't anywhere like as beefy or cover as much as the other Strix models did. We'll soon find out if this affects the temperatures.

No one has commented on these reviews yet. Even though we all really appreciate the incredible work done by OC3D to get them out, no one cares about these appalling cards.Quote
