Corsair Neutron XTi 960GB SSD Including RAID-0 Review

When looking at the front of the Neutron XTi’s packaging we can see that Corsair is making some big claims, stating that these drives will be able to achieve 560MB/s reads and 540MB/s writes, which is pretty much the highest SATA SSDs can offer.Â
Otherwise, the packaging of this SSD is rather plain and simple, providing important details like the drive height (7mm) and important performance and capacity characteristics.Â

When we get these SSDs out into the open, we can see that these drives come with a nice 2mm spacer for use in laptops and other mounting systems which require 9mm drives. Corsair has made these spacers red to match this drive, which is a nice touch.
These drives come with Corsair’s typical red and black SSD aesthetic, allowing this SSD to easily blend into a lot of modern systems, though we would prefer a dark grey or all black aesthetic in the future in order to suit systems of all colour schemes. Should Corsair make an RGB SSD? Â

On the rear of the SSD, you will get the drive’s model numbers and product numbers as well as the capacities and other important information. Thankfully this is on the side of the SSD which will mount facing your case, which will prevent these ugly barcodes and details from being visible inside your system. Â
