Dark Souls 3 PC Performance Review

4K Screenshot Graphical Comparison

Below we can again see that there is a major difference between the lowest and highest settings, though only a minimal difference between Medium and higher settings.

The largest differences when moving from Low to medium are seen in the water, where the water gains a much more fluid look and gains reflections from the major lighting sources. We also see that the player gains a shadow and that this shadow becomes much more defined as you move up the graphical settings.

In this set of screenshots we can see the central hub world of Dark Souls 3, where the different graphical settings only make a minimal visual difference, with the most notable changes being due to the addition of SSAO in the environment.

Dark Souls 3 has very good art design and a beautiful, but desolate, world. While these are not the most impressive visuals that we have ever seen the world has definitely had a lot of work put into it.

Wonder if they improved CPU usage if it would help the AMD cards. Since the drivers tend to have more CPU overhead than Nvidia, which can result in slowdowns as we see here.Quote

It crashes a lot and nvidia recent drivers don't help at all.

However, it's probably THE best Souls game ever created.Quote

Had loads of crashing issues on AMD drivers too, however turning lighting to low fixed all the issues.

It is the best souls game so far.Quote
