Up Close

The Classified comes in a matte black box befitting of its secretive nomenclature. No messing around with unnecessary graphics or shiny badges. EVGA. GTX980Ti. Sorted.

Included with the Classified are plenty of adaptors and cables to ensure that it is compatible with the majority of systems. Although if your PSU and Display don't support modern HDMI/PCIe then it's time to upgrade your whole rig.

As befits a card at the premium end of the graphics card spectrum, the ACX 2.0 cooler on the Classified not only fits the PCB perfectly but looks amazing. We adore the matte black finish and lack of 'go faster stripes'. Even the back-plate isn't just a sheet of metal with a screen-printed logo but rather something with amazing attention to detail. On pure looks alone the Classified is a winner.

It's nice to have a GTX9xx card that hasn't got a giant glowing side. The Classified dispenses with brightly coloured surfaces and makes it look a lot classier, if you'll pardon the pun, as a result.

It isn't just a case of being the best air-cooled card though, as the Classified sneaks some LN2 magic into the mix for those of you with tanks of the chilly stuff. If anything it shows how serious the RTB warranty is.

Great review, I got this card 4 days ago, Brilliant piece of kit, Was also able to reach 1500/8000 stable, Quite refreshing coming from the Fury X which didn't overclock so well.Quote

Evga needs to do some more homework, all 980Ti ACX are above 75C or near 80C..Might as well get stock cooler then..

So far Zotac amp Extreme and GB wf3x are the coolest.Quote

If you do a 1:1 fan curve on the classy it rarely goes over 66'c and it's still very quiet which surprised me Quote

The trade off is always usually noise. If a cooler is better it usually needs to make more noise to do so.Quote

In this case it doesn't though, Honestly I can have the cooler run at 60% and it's still incredibly quiet Quote
