Gainward GTX980Ti Phoenix Golden Sample Review

Introduction

Gainward cards are a rarer sight on these shores than the majority of brands that might spring to mind. Whilst they haven't got the same market saturation, their performance has been unquestionably good. In fact their GTX780Ti Phantom not only was amongst the best GTX780Tis, but regularly makes its way into even our latest graphs.

With the proven capability to product a high-end graphics card and the knowledge that the GTX980Ti GPU is the best on the planet at the moment, the mixture of those two elements should prove a heady combination.

We all know what is up for review here, and we all know the ins and outs of the GTX980Ti, so let's find out what Gainward have done to separate themselves from the pack.

Technical Specifications

Out of the box there is a beefy overclock in place. This bodes well for the GS in our graphs at stock, as it already steals a march upon some lower clocked default cards. Of course the cooler and power phases also determine the overclocking capabilities and the GTX980Ti is a card that responds beautifully to some extra junk in the trunk, so how do it look?

I recall a disasterous EVGA motherboard having pink pcie slots that shall remain nameless. Your review of the board didn't go down too well with EVGA either Tom Quote

Anyways we have a GTX980 Ti Classi coming up soon but the lack of them is all down to EVGA and me not wanting to perfect corporate fellatioQuote
