Mafia III Day 1 PC Performance Review

4K Testing

At 4K PC gamers will only be able to play at a steady 30+ FPS when running at low settings, though thankfully the GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and R9 Fury X are all able to achieve a steady 30+ FPS framerate.

Right now Mafia III cannot be played at steady 60+ FPS with a consumer grade GPU, even at its lowest graphical settings. Those who enjoy playing games at higher framerates will need to lower the game's resolution in order to experience this game with a higher framerate, which is a shame.

I have an i5-6600k and a GTX 1070 SC, running Mafia III at 1080p with unlimited framerate option and all settings on high my game never drops below 70fps and IMO Mafia is extremely well optimized, I'm quite surprised at your conclusion.Quote

Of course we cant tell the difference between medium and medium on page 4

Unless of course that was intentional.Quote

Then you're settings aren't correct. Other sites have reported similar results. 1080 is needed for 60fps at 1080pQuote

Are you for real? Mafia 3 is very, very poor on PC and no you're not playing at 70 fps on high with a 1070. The 1070 can get just 50 fps. Source: Other benchmarks.Quote

Sorry but I find this hard to believe. Mafia III is badly optimised.Quote
