As part of the MSI Gaming range the GTX970 comes in a box replete with their Dragon logo. The card itself has moved away from the Gaming design of old and into the new X99-a-like of black with red slashes through it. Certainly if you're planning to use one of the latest MSI motherboards then it will fit in perfectly.

We will be taking a closer look at the new Twin Frozr V on the next page, but if you're interested here it is in all its exploded glory. A VRM plate, some serious heatpipes and two enormous fans should pique your interest.

Small things such as the reversed power connectors with the latch on the top side of the card help reduce the strain on the PCI Express slot when removing the card for the right-handed members amongst you.

It's certainly a very good looking card, and it's nice to see that the height is slightly below that of a normal dual-slot cooling solution, ensuring better airflow in SLI applications.

Bloody impressive stuff Guv, Maxwell seems to have been worth the wait, the OC results have staggered me.. I really can't wait now to see what the GTX 980 Ti is capable of.Quote

The GPU core used in the GTX 980 is the full core, so do not expect a 980Ti (at least with any extra CUDA cores).

I see a Titan 2 in 2015, but that's just a hunch. I guess we will see.Quote

I actually hope they don't carry on with a top of the range "Ti"

My personal opinion was that the previous positioning was better. To me a Ti card was always a mid high end card with that Extra "Oomph"

I think the "Titan" branding is far more suited to high end

Just my 2 cents.

P.S This card looks awesome Quote

Love the look of this card. Cooler looks tall though. Will this fit in a corsair 240 air case. Got one coming at the end of the month so don't have it to measure myself yet :-(Quote
