We know that the RTX cards have RT cores and Tensor cores as well, but CUDA cores are still a good gauge of how powerful a card can be when it comes to raw number crunching. The graph follows roughly the lines you would expect as technology advances, but it’s interesting to note that the RTX 3080 and RTX 3080 Ti cards threw higher CUDA core numbers at the problem until Nvidia brought out their next generation RT and Tensor cores with the 4000 series.
