Rise of the Tomb Raider - AMD VS Nvidia Performance Review

GTX 980 Ti VS R9 Fury X – 1440p

Moving onto 1440p we see a similar trend as 1080p, though this time AMD actually leads when we look at the lower game settings, especially in terms of minimum framerates.

When moving beyond High settings we see Nvidia grab the lead once again in terms of both minimum and average FPS, but again we could see this change in the future as AMD releases their own optimized driver for the game.

Up to high settings at 1440p we see the average framerate be above that magical 60FPS point, though we have to go all the way down to low to see the minimum framerates get that high.

Right now at the highest settings at 1440p Nvidia win the day, offering the highest average and minimum framerates, but both platforms perform very well in this game.
