Sapphire RX 480 Nitro OC+ Review

That monstrous overclock has a price to pay, like it always does, in the power consumption graph. Easily the most thirsty of the RX 480s we’ve tested. Of course it’s way below the previous AMD generation, so it’s not all bad news. All that heat has to go somewhere though and, as we alluded to in our closer look, the Sapphire Nitro cooler just hasn’t got enough vents in it so the fans end up working overtime trying to move the air about without really having anywhere to push it and the temperatures suffer.
