XFX R9 390X Black Edition Review

Tomb Raider

Another game which would fall foul of the trades description act, Tomb Raider (rebooted more often than a PC running Windows Vista) is the anti-Sniper Elite in performance terms. Closer to a 960 than a 980, but still perfectly playable. Everything is relative.

Hate to say it but yawn. Another over priced 8gb 290x.

AMD need to stop peeing around with this crap and get Fury out there and for sale. Every day they slip is another day for Nvidia to drop prices again and secure another sale.

I gotta admit, I am growing a little impatient.Quote

When you get past the HSBC logo all over the front, god is this a pretty card. Not quite as pretty as the previous DD

but still it's a looker. Performance is great too, predictably sitting just above the 290X.Quote

Can't wait to get home and test this card out. Been on vacation and the card came as I was leaving. It's not the black edition but it's still worth getting. Hopefully it's as good as you show!Quote

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the "Black Edition" is and the non one?... Keep seeing them all over, but don't get the difference. Is it the color? Quote

Core clocks. Pretty sure it's 1050 for normal cards and the Black edition is 1090Quote
