All ASUS Republic of Gamers products have the now classic red and black colour scheme, and opening the box to discover what treats lay within never loses its lustre. The Spatha X box opens to reveal the mouse itself in incredibly protective packaging with both foam and plastic keeping it securely in place during transit.

Beneath the mouse we have a carry case which keeps all of the necessary parts secure if you're taking it out and about with you, to a convention, or simply want to keep it as dust free as possible during down time.

The charging dock is designed with a similar angular aesthetic to the mouse itself and not only looks classy on your desk but getting the mouse in place for charging is easy and secure. With a Type-C charger you can get around a days play from just a 15 minute charge. Okay you'd have to forego lighting to achieve this, but the days of waiting a lifetime for it to charge are, like our phones, behind us.

Should you have forgotten to charge it overnight - we all do it - but have an urgent call on your skills then the Spatha X can be run using the supplied cable too. The Wireless latency is so non-existent there isn't a performance benefit to be had from doing this, but it's a nice option to have.

Despite the switches having a 70 million click lifespan we know that many of you more ardent gamers can easily get through that, so it's nice to have a spare pair of microwitches included. It's a very easy swap as the PCB has been designed to let you change them out with the minimum of fuss.

Good review, I had the original Spatha and the battery after a few months was awful, Lost charge very quickly and you couldn't replace it, Wired it was a good mouse though until the rubber on the sides started coming away from the body.Quote
