Corsair Harpoon Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse

Introduction

With CES starting the market will soon be awash with brand new products, revisions of popular current ones, and some things we cannot yet foresee.

The Corsair Gaming range of products have long proved extremely popular, combining high build quality with affordable pricing and lots of features that have proved to be so popular they’ve expanded across the whole genre. With this in mind three mice and a new mouse mat appeared in the OC3D offices around Christmas, formed of two new designs and a refresh of a legendary classic. Glancing at the image at the top of the page they are, from left to right, the Ironclaw RGB, the Harpoon RGB Wireless and the M65 RGB Elite.

The last of the three we’re reviewing today is the Harpoon RGB Wireless. One of the most affordable wireless mice on the market and powered by the PixArt PMW3325 Optical sensor, it’s both extremely light and able to be run in either wired or cable free modes in a very quick change around.

Technical Specifications

The most important elements to any wireless mouse are easy charging, long battery life and performance that is as lag free as a wired connection. The Harpoon promises all three of these elements whilst also enjoying the accuracy of the excellent PMW3325 Optical sensor from PixArt. It wasn’t that long ago that nearly every mouse that came through our hallowed halls utilised the Avago range of sensors, which speaks for how quickly PixArt have gained a market majority thanks to outstanding performance from their optical technology.
