Corsair Ironclaw RGB MOBA Mouse Review

Corsair Ironclaw RGB MOBA Mouse Review

Introduction

With CES starting the market will soon be awash with brand new products, revisions of popular current ones, and some things we cannot yet foresee.

The Corsair Gaming range of products have long proved extremely popular, combining high build quality with affordable pricing and lots of features that have proved to be so popular they’ve expanded across the whole genre. With this in mind three mice and a new mouse mat appeared in the OC3D offices around Christmas, formed of two new designs and a refresh of a legendary classic. Glancing at the image at the top of the page they are, from left to right, the Ironclaw RGB, the Harpoon RGB Wireless and the M65 RGB Elite.

The Ironclaw RGB is a new entry into the Corsair range, designed for both MOBA and FPS users. It has a very chunky look with big, easy to hit buttons. More of which later. Like all mice it’s something that’s best looked at rather than talked about, so after a quick look at the specifications let’s take a look in the flesh so we can explain the details.

Technical Specifications

In the hand the Ironclaw feels a lot like the M65, being a chunky right handed design. It isn’t so banana shaped that if you’re a left handed player used to making do with right handed mice you couldn’t comfortably hold it. Just like the M65 it is equipped with the monster PixArt PMW3391 Optical sensor supporting DPIs up to a positively stratospheric 18000 DPI. Best of all that can be adjusted in 1 DPI increments so if you’re extremely demanding in exactly how many dots per inch your sensor will track then you can be pixel perfect at all times.
