We knew the K65 Mini was going to be small, but the box is absolutely tiny, barely bigger than the keyboard itself and that's already less than a foot wide and just over 4 inches deep.

Inside the box we have the usual high quality Corsair manual, particularly useful on a keyboard with so many FN+ alternative assignments. You can get a feel for the size by just looking at the cable which has a Type-C to Type-A design. We all know how big a Type-A connector is, and in this case it's about a tenth of the entire width of the K65 Mini. Additionally we have an alternative design for the spacebar if you want one that's more usual than the supplied one. We happen to really like the design on the spacebar so it will be staying.

Being such a compact product that's pretty much all there is to show you. Underneath there are just four small grip pads and no feet.

Whilst around the back is just the Type-C cable connector.

Beneath the Corsair double-shot keycaps are the famous Cherry MX Red switches with their 45g actuation force and 2mm actuation distance. The K65 Mini is even available with the Cherry MX Speed switches should you prefer the silver ones.

The lighting is excellent too. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's look at the new iCUE software.

A lot of video reviews are painting this as too little too late and overpriced for what it is, Shame really.

Also 8000Hz polling makes no sense on standard mech switches, Optical switches yes but this implementation is a useless marketing gimmick.Quote
