Corsair Katar Pro Wireless Mouse Review

Corsair Katar Pro Wireless Mouse Review

Introduction

Mice seem to have diverged into two distinct camps. On one side of the divide we have mice which are something you can hold which move the pointer, and they are very affordable and enough for the majority of people. On the other side we have premium mice with a host of features, lighting, buttons etc. In this second category we also find mice which have wireless connectivity.

The Corsair Katar is a popular 8000 DPI wired mouse that won’t break the bank, so when the Katar Pro Wireless arrived in the office we immediately feared that the inclusion of wireless technology would push the price beyond what the rest of the feature set offered relative to its contemporaries. Instead Corsair have kept the price very low indeed for a wireless option, so naturally we were curious to see whether this stripped down take upon a wireless mouse had enough to keep the interest compared to things like the Dark Core Pro in the Corsair range.

As always there is only one way to find out, so let’s cast a brief eye over the specifications before looking at the Katar Pro Wireless mouse in person. Look closely, because it’s definitely compact dimensionally.

Technical Specifications

There is no denying that the price is the most eye-catching element of the Katar Pro Wireless. It’s affordable for a modern gaming mouse, much less one with Corsair’s Slipstream technology and Bluetooth support. There isn’t even a compromise on the sensor, which is the PixArt PMW3325 with 10000 DPI in 100 DPI steps available to ensure you have the exactly level of responsiveness to suit your gaming style.
