Lighting

Curiously the Vantar has RGB lighting but has locked the colours off to the ones you see below. So if, like certain members of the OC3D team (me) you love orange - indeed Orange is the official Cougar colour - it's strange and irritating that you can't have orange as a choice. Or pink. Dark purple. The second picture demonstrates how easy it is to set up colour blocks should you want them. Again your choices are limited, but something is better than nothing.

The lighting isn't hugely bright even at its brightest setting, and the RGB strip around the outside hasn't got very uniform lighting, but you can at least see the colours available here.

I've been looking at this for ages. If my mech board dies it's definitely going to be my next keyboard. The price is awesome too, plus Cougar's stuff is made very well for the price.Quote

I need to try a scissor switch keyboard. Im after a keyboard that has low travel and doesnt take much force to press the keys down. Im a big fan of cougar products.Quote

Everything Lepa/Lepatek make is nicely put together. I've had their fans and a couple of other bits so I know how well made they are.

The noise of my mech board really does do my head in sometimes.Quote

I tried using a chiclet gaming keyboard once. It was a pleasant experience for gaming (although a keyboard without macro keys and dedicated media buttons is not for me), but it wasn't a very good typing experience. But that might have been due to it's size. The keyboard in question was Redragon Karura 502, and it's really huge. This one looks much smaller so typing might be OK.Quote
