Technical Specifications
We all know what the score is with the Corsair Dominator Platinum by now. This heatspreader has proven its effectiveness in multiple variations, with a combination of outstanding performance and incredible looks. We've looked at it many times before so rather than retread well-worn ground, let's get down to business and see what today's version offers up.
Hopefully you're sitting down as the Dominator Platinum we have in our test bed today is rated to a whopping 3300MHz @ 15-15-15-36. Is this enough to crack our memory graphs, or does the increasingly incremental improvements only show their hand in the most demanding of scenarios? Time to find out.
Test Setup
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB DDR4 3300MHz Kit
ASUS X99 Rampage V Extreme
Intel Core i7-5960X
nVidia GTX780Ti
Corsair AX760i
Sandisk Extreme Pro SSD
Corsair H105
Custom Corsair 540 Air
Windows 7 x64
Memory, even something as swift as the Dominators we have on test today, never really gets hot enough to justify the use of the included fan. We can't help enjoying the looks though, even if we'd never recommend installing it.

Luv me Plats but dreading going over to DDR4 seeing the prices, oh, see they've a new AirFlow fan? Not bad, still prefer the Dom GT version.
