Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Review

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB 3200MHz Kit

Introduction

RGB lighting has quickly become the dominant trait in almost every piece of hardware we review.

It doesn’t feel that long ago that if you wanted to make a statement of fashion outside of the regular beige boxes you were limited to black. That then was followed by early attempts at lighting which fell into the Red, Green or Blue trap that meant a lot of us ran one of those three colours for a long period. The popularity of blue and red in particular then trickled down into hardware highlights, so motherboards and graphics cards usually had red flashes or blue ones. In a self-fulfilling prophecy the fact you could really only buy red or blue colour schemes meant that those were only the lighting options too because they were the only system colours available.

We might have been in danger of disappearing into a black hole of irony as what was originally designed as something to get away from the fact that all our PCs were beige, now meant that all our PCs were black and red or blue. Thankfully before we all went crazy the RGB lighting systems were invented and their immense popularity suddenly allowed us to break free from the shackles of ‘seen it all before’ systems and into the sunlit uplands of any colour we liked.

Corsair have embraced this sea change with their hardware and the latest model to let you express your individuality is the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro memory range, with full RGB lighting and pattern options on some beefy capacity and high bandwidth kits.

Technical Specifications

The Vengeance RGB Pro is available in a few different flavours to suit everyone from those with big budgets to those with absolutely massive budgets, with the cheapest being the 16GB 2666MHz offering and going all the way up to the positively jaw dropping 64GB 3600MHz kit.

We’ve got a mid-range 32GB, 3200MHz kit today and we think that fits the sweet spot of capacity, speed and relative affordability. This very much is a memory kit that is better seen than talked about though, so let’s give you some eye candy.
