Silver Power Blue Lightning 600w PSU

Conclusion

Conclusion

When I was first contacted by Silver Power and asked to review one of their units I must admit predicting that the review would have a poor outcome. After all, Silver Power was a company I'd never heard of before, and budget PSU's are generally something I avoid.

However, Silver Power have proved me totally wrong. For an extremely reasonable £60 you get a 600w power supply that has a sexy gunmetal Grey paintwork, fully sleeved cables and a 2 year warranty. More importantly the Blue Lightning has amazing voltage stability all the way up to 646w, over 80% efficiency at all load levels and an extremely quiet 120mm Blue LED fan.

With all this in mind, Silver Power looks like it's going to cause quite a stir in the budget/mid-range PSU market, and leave many other manufacturers dropping prices just to keep up.

Komplett
