1080p Performance - Benchmark Results

As noted on page 6, DLSS can offer gamers an equal than native graphical presentation when used at its balanced setting. As such, the feature has become a must-enable feature within Black Ops: Cold War for Geforce RTX users. With this in mind, we have added DLSS Balanced tests to our main benchmark charts for Nvidia's RTX series of graphics cards.

For the most part, the chart below shows how Cold War prefers Radeon graphics cards in a straight-up head-to-head without ray tracing or DLSS enabled. Even AMD's RX Vega 56 managed to outperform Nvidia's RTX 2060 graphics card, while our RX 5700 series cards achieve the same feat with larger performance advantages.

When using Nvidia's RTX 2060 graphics card, we need to use DLSS in balanced mode to deliver RX 5700 XT-like performance levels. That's how much this game likes Radeon without enabling DLSS.

For graphics cards like AMD's RX 580 and Nvidia GTX 1060, Medium settings are required to keep the game above 60 FPS in most situations within the game's campaign. This is in line with what's listed within Black Ops: Cold War's PC system requirements.

Those screenshots make the game look impressive. DLSS is again a winner here. It is nice to see the 5700 XT outshine the 1080Ti, but Nvidia has a huge advantage even with that outpacing by AMD.Quote
