Civilization VI PC Performance Review

1440p Performance

At 1440p we see very similar results to 1080p, with DirectX 12 lowering the game's performance in all cases, with a larger impact on performance seen on Nvidia-powered systems.

Firaxis is expected to release further updates to Civilization VI to enhance the game's performance under DirectX 12, but for now it seems like DirectX 11 is deliver gamers the best in-game performance.

Impressive all around though. Improved DX11 massively and introduced DX12 at the same time. DX12 is in beta, but it's only going to get better. So good job to them on that.

Performance from the 960 and 380 is still very impressive and shows how good this optimization is.Quote
