Company of Heroes 3 PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

1440p Benchmarks

When Company of Heroes 3 is cranked up to 1440p, PC gamers need graphics cards on the level of AMD's RX 5700 or Nvidia's RTX 2060 Super to run the game at max settings. Why not the RTX 2060 6GB? It has too little VRAM, a factor that places it further down our performance charts. With lower texture settings, Nvidia's 6GB RTX 2060 can achieve 60+ FPS average framerates at 1440p, but not with Ultra textures.

Again, Nvidia's RTX 4090 is CPU-limited at 1440p, with the graphics card offering similar performance levels to what it offered at 1080p. Even so, keeping the game above 120 FPS at practically all times is no small feat for our Ryzzen 5 5600X CPU.

Excellent review. I did appreciate the extra effort of testing individual and combinations of settings for an aggregate result. Wish more reviews had that. It helps many people when you take a card as popular as the 2060 was and do such such a thing.

I haven't purchased yet, but I've heard good things I'm looking forward to finding time to playQuote

Thanks. I did think that the RTX 2060 was an interesting example given its smaller frame buffer and popularity.Quote
