DLSS Tested - Is it worth it in Crysis Remastered?

Crysis Remastered Performance Transformed - Patch 1.3.0 Delivers Huge Gains

1080p Performance

For our performance charts below, we retested Crysis Remastered with our RTX 2060 FE, RTX 2080 Ti FE, Gigabyte RTX 3070 Eagle, Powercolor RX 5700 Red Devil and Radeon RX 6800 graphics cards. This will allow us to play the game with multiple DLSS compatible graphics cards while also providing us with some AMD-based comparisons.

Please note that Crysis Remastered is extremely CPU-limited at 1080p High settings, preventing DLSS from having any real performance impact at this resolution. Only Nvidia's RTX 2060 benefits from DLSS in our test scene, which is a real shame.

Nvidia's DLSS technology is about making games less GPU-limited. It cannot help to increase framerates when Crysis Remastered is CPU-limited.

It's awful in The Medium. Does absolutely nothing.Quote

Really sums up how rampantly anti-consumer the games industry is when an update of a decade old game is released needing months of updates.Quote

See lots of issues with DLSS in CRysis: Remastered
